Mussel farming is a well established type of aquaculture that utilized for ages. European countries are producing approximately 600.000 ton mussels every year. Spain, Italy, France and Netherlands are the main producers. But Turkey did not have a single legitamate mussel farm, up until now .

"A new era is beginning!"

Teknik Sualti Ltd. has seen the gap and room for improvement in aquaculture for bivalves and has started its investments. Our first step is building two mussel farms with the capacity of 3500 tons/year. As we speak the first farm is being setup.At last Turkey will have mussels with a known origin and unsurpassed quality.

During the permit process we setup a pilot farm which has produced high yield. Although not much, but the sales have also begun to special customers.

In addition to that we proudly announce building of the first and only depuration center in Turkey. This way the company will be able to provide the domestic and the export market with unsurpassed quality products. The depuration center will are building is very close to our initial farm location as you can see on our map. All the permits are acquired and construction has begun. We expect to have our approval from EU by early Autumn. Soon we will have more info on depuration in the site.

By now we have begun with the mussel farming already. The initial harvest is expected on July. Please get in line . The first products are expected to be 50-55 pcs/kg and the mean lenght 5,2 cm. A perfect product for İzmir Midye Dolması.
